"I'm Shannon, and I live for the vibrant, colorful world of quilting. In October 2023, I had the joy of publishing my book Quilting with Panels and Patchwork with Fox Chapel/Landauer. It's a celebration of creativity, color, and the endless possibilities of fabric and thread. Over the years, my work has also been featured in some of my favorite quilting magazines‚ including Better Homes and Gardens Quilts & More (Spring 2020), American Patchwork and Quilting (April 2021), Love of Quilting (September/October 2021), McCall, Quilting (March/April 2022), and Quick and Easy Quilts (Summer 2025).
Color is my language, and quilts are my voice. I've always had a knack for choosing just the right shades, arranging patterns with balance and flair, and designing quilts that are both comforting and artistic. I love diving into the structure of intricate quilts, mentally reconstructing how they're made‚ my husband calls it my "puzzle brain" and he's not wrong! Theres something deeply soothing about the process‚ just taking needle to fabric can melt away the stress of the day. It's where I feel most at peace.
Now, with years of hands-on experience, I've grown into a cutting-edge pattern tester and designer. I also enjoy connecting with others through public speaking and leading quilting workshops‚ sharing this colorful, creative world with others is one of my greatest joys.
