"Since learning to quilt from another Coast Guard spouse in 1998 while stationed in Puerto Rico, appliqué and all manner of hand work have been my greatest passion. Hello, I am Robin Koehler, and as an internationally published quilt designer, teacher, and AQS certified quilt appraiser, it is a thrill to share my knowledge and love of quilting with whomever will listen. The designers of the past constantly intrigue me and inspire my traditional whimsical aesthetic.

I created NESTLINGS by Robin, in 2004. Since taking the leap, I have vended at Intl. Quilt Market and taught at Intl. Quilt Festival, Mountain QuiltFest, and multiple quilt guilds.

Many of my 100+ published designs have been with well known publications (Quilter’s World, Quiltmaker, Quiltmania) and I am a regular contributor to American Quilter Magazine.
In 2023 I was extremely honored to be an invited designer for the new Quilts of Valor Foundation book, "All-Star Quilts of Valor: 25 Patriotic Patterns from Star Designers." QOVF is an organization that is close to my heart for their soul-mending work for veterans.

I reside in Illinois with my CG Veteran husband and fuzzball pup. The amazing daughters are grown, and I am now "Bobbin" to a couple of sweet grand littles. Since we get to pick grandma names now, I chose sewing related.
