"I'm a recovering corporate director who finally gave in to my creative side. Raised by a long line of stitchers, I picked up needlepoint, cross-stitch, sewing, and crocheting at an early age‚ thanks to my mom and grandmother‚ encouragement (and their endless patience).
After college, I jumped headfirst into quilting, machine-piecing and hand-quilting a king-sized wedding quilt for my sister. No baby steps here! Ever since, I've blended my engineering brain with my artistic soul, designing original quilts with EQ8, developing new techniques, and happily breaking a few "rules" along the way, including creating my signature three-dimensional appliqué. Never one to play it safe, I love mixing other media like beading into my quilts.
I also design quilt patterns for several major fabric manufacturers, a process I love, especially the creative challenge of transforming electronic fabric swatches into something beautiful. It is even more rewarding when I get to feel the fabric and really create the quilt! There is something magical about stitching.
When I'm not quilting, you'll find me hanging out with my family (and two giant, goofy dogs!), hiking, baking, digging in the garden, or getting lost in a good historical novel, thriller or mystery.
My work has been featured in QuiltWorld, McCalls Quilting, Fons and Porter Love of Quilting, and Quick + Easy Quilts. Most of all, I'm grateful for the women who taught me to stitch, and for the family that cheers me on every step of the way."

My Workshop
"Skip the Stitch: Quilt Appliqué in Half the Time"
Are you always running out of time to finish your quilt projects? Ready to quilt smarter, and faster?
In Skip the Stitch: Quilt Appliqué in Half the Time, you'll learn how to go straight from fusing your appliqué pieces to quilting your block, combining your securing stitch with your quilting stitches to save time without sacrificing polish.
Using a free 8" block pattern (included!), you'll discover how to:
Create and place appliqué shapes easily with freezer paper templates
Mark your block simply for quick, accurate placement
Fuse your appliqué securely without overcomplicating the process
Quilt and secure your appliqué at the same time for a fast, fabulous finish
Along the way, I'll share plenty of tips and tricks to remove the guesswork and help you duplicate this process confidently in your own studio.
It's faster, it's easier, and it still looks completely intentional. (No one will guess you skipped a whole step.)
Perfect for quilters who love beautiful results, without the long, tedious process.
Bonus surprise: Stick around for a special project upgrade at the end!
Workshops go live on July 1st!
