"I have been painting and drawing and sewing since I was a young child. I learned how to quilt at five years old but only got back into quilting at the age of 40. Since then I have won multiple awards for my quilts.

My "day job" has been teaching adults for 25 years. Since I have been in the quilting world I have had many requests from people asking for virtual classes and information about my design process. I have for a few years and am still currently teaching in-person classes and felt it was time to have options for student who are not near me to have the opportunity to take these classes as well.

"Designing a Pixel Quilt"

Have you ever seen a pixel quilt and wanted to replicate it? Are you having trouble finding a pattern for a very niche pixelated quilt design? Learn how to create your own Pixel Art pattern for quilts, potholders, stockings, and much more. This class will show you how to create a pattern based on a pixelated picture using nothing but pencil and graph paper. Cole will walk you through the steps of finding inspiration, choosing a picture, drawing it out, planning the measurements, doing the quilt math, picking out fabric, and troubleshooting. No artistic skills needed! You will learn multiple ways to plan out where your seams will go and tips and tricks that will make the process easier for you. You will also see examples of different completed projects from potholders and Christmas stockings to queen sized quilts. Come learn quilt design with Cole, It's easier than you think!
