About Me

"I'm fortunate to come from a long line of quilters, crafters, sewists, and artists. In my family, quilts have always been more than fabric and thread - they've been a source of comfort, joy, and connection passed down through generations.

Even as a child, I always kept my hands busy with something creative: stitching dolly-sized quilts, sewing, crocheting, drawing, and other creative outlets - always keeping my hands busy with something new.

When, as a young adult, health challenges made hand appliqué and hand quilting no longer physically viable for me, my first instinct was dismay and discouragement. But Grandma Baldwin gave me loving (but stern!) advice: No pity parties - just figure out a different way. And a career was born!

Now I'm an author, designer, teacher, and quilty YouTuber. It brings me great joy to share my accessible machine piecing, invisible machine appliqué, fun fiber arts techniques, creative machine quilting, and great-looking machine binding methods with other quilters and fiber artists around the world - all from my home in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

My Workshop

"Fabric Postcards: Tiny Art with Big Heart"

Fast, fun, and completely customizable, fabric postcards can be a deeply satisfying way to turn scraps into meaningful mementos. And they are perfect for gifting, collecting, or displaying!

In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of postcard construction step-by-step - from layering your choice of fabrics and stabilizers to finishing the edges cleanly and creatively. Along the way, you'll gather ideas for adding personal touches, meaningful embellishments, and little sparks of story to each piece.

You can use a favorite fabric or combination of fabrics for the front of the postcard or explore a mixed-media approach. Crumb piecing, string piecing, classic patchwork, layered collage, fused appliqué, hand stitching, machine stitching, thread painting, beading, special papers, favorite quotes, or even printed photos can all help you express your personal style.

This workshop is designed for makers of all skill levels - whether you've never made a fabric postcard before or you're looking for fresh inspiration. Come play with us!

Workshops go live on July 1st!
